But it's not just a show about Chicago and baseball! :-D I think I have far more in common with PJ than a certain NYC writer who likes to go to clubs abd is obessed with clothes and shoes. :-P

You know, it some ways, being filled with all of those Chicago references, makes the show seem more real. I might not understand the references, but the fact that they are local references is universal, if that makes any sense at all. It's easy in my brain to hear the same conversation take place in DC if Bobby had flown into BWI and they were going to someplace in Falls Church. Local color is permates our lives so much that it's absense is sort of strange when you think about it.

One of the the things that's a little off about the West Wing is that it seems to take place in a bubble. There are no refernces to Metro, nobody wears their badge, and no one seems to know how long it will take to walk someplace. :-)
