Oh, I would never think that Josh would ever be anything other than a Mets fan! He'd always show up at a Mets vs. Nats game with his Mets cap. (And judging from the game, he wouldn't be alone.)
But DC baseball is such a big deal for everyone here. People have been hoping a team (any team) would return to the city. It tough to describe. But it's less of local pride thing and almost a righting of a long ago wrong. A columnist here announced that he would always be a Mets fan first and formost, but he was planing on becoming a rabid Nats fan and I guess that made me wonder what it would be like for Josh. Your life long team will always win, but I wonder (having never been in that circumstance) if there would be the frusteration of having to pick a side, that one of the teams you like were going to lose.
