Take up as much as space as you like! I'm sorry it took me so long to respond to your post. Hell, you might not be even feeling the same way anymore! But I didn't want to write anything until I had settled in from my trip and had my head in the right place again.

I do agreee with you for the most part. (BTW, I read your post a couple of days ago. I like what you had to say.) But it doesn't bother me that Josh and Donna didn't talk, because they obviously were still communicating. There has been in practice at West Wing since Sorkin left to let some of the most emotional scenes be non-verbal... probably because they knew that nobody could match Sorkin in terms of writing so they chose a different method to convey emotions.

I was going to post this over at you LJ, but I think I'll go for it here. Despite the flash forward in season opening teaser, we don't know much about our characters futures. What is Jed doing in Jakarta. Is he a government emmissary or a private consultant? How's his health? What about Abby? Is she still practicing? We dodn't even see her. Are Charlie and Zoey still together? What are Charlie's plans now that he's graduated from Georgetown Law? What did Kate write her book about (the Bartlet years I'm assuming) and what is she doing now? And did she just discover that she could write... or did she have a former Bartlet speechwriter help her out? And was it Will... or Toby? Is CJ still saving the world? What is Danny doing? Hell, more importantly, what's Josh doing and why was he not in the motorcade, if he's Cheif of Staff?

And I'm just going to throw this out there... just because we got three seconds with CJ and Danny all smiles and talking about the baby, doesn't mean they are going to live happily ever after. Hell, it does even mean that they are all that happy now. People have been known to put on a good front for a special occation.

My point is that we know just about the same amount about Josh and Donna's future as we do about everybody else's. Yes, it would have been wonderful to have more shown, but I'm satisfied with what we got. :-)
