I see it more of a case of them having to much history to ever see each other in a romantic light.

I'm actually kind of agreeing with you, I think. If anything ever happened, it wouldn't be because either of them were in love with the other, or even had leanings that way. It would be because humans have needs (and they're both lonely people), and because they *are* good friends with history. Safe. Temporary. The sparks they have are with other people - and I see sparks with Casey for both of them, which adds a level to any potential D/D thing. One thing I think we can certainly agree on is that they are not an OTP. :-)
