Yet another drabble for tww100.

Notes: I recently wrote a Transition post-ep which featured Sam's reaction to Josh and Dona being together.  It made me think about the reactions of everyone else we cared about. 



Charlie wanted to know how this had happened without his knowledge or assistance.  He’d been waiting for years to return the favor and now he’d never get the chance.

CJ was still wondering what exactly that odd moment was and how it had progressed to this.

Toby, in spite of himself, was baffled as to why this had taken almost a decade.

President Bartlet claimed the key question was why now instead of three years ago or two years in the future.

Josh and Donna both thought the real mystery was why anyone was interested in their relationship at all.

I *love* it. I always felt we were robbed of everybody's reactions and this supplies them perfectly. You rock at drabbles.

Thank you!! I really do enjoy writing them! (And they generally don't take me very long to finish.)

I think part of the problem is that most of the reactions would have been so understated that they really wouldn't have made good television. But that's what fanfic's for! :-)

Oh, that's great. The last line is perfect---I think that's exactly how they'd both react. (They'd both think that they'd kept it so under-the-radar that no one else would know, or care. Aren't they cute.) I don't know about the 'caring', but the knowing is certainly there.

you know, the more I think about it, this is what we're all really missing--not so much others' reactions to the relationship, as much as J/D's reaction to their reactions. Because they were so hopelessly clueless. So cute.

That's true... but I think the biggest thing we all missed was just seeing the relationship out in the open. We watch Josh and Donna finally get together but it happened in a vacuum really. It was something private just between the two of them. I mean, you can make assumptions about everyone's reaction based on the conversations with Will, CJ and Matt. (You can't tell me that the conversation in Transition wasn't Matt's pathetic attempt at matchmaking!) But still, it would have been nice to see some aknowledgement.

Thanks! I would have loved to see some reaction... ANY reaction, but then it would probably be pretty understated. Just one of those invitable things!

He he he. they are right... I can't imagine anybody'd be interested in their relationship. Personally, I don't find it fascinating at all.

You should really do daily drabbles. This was extremely cute.

Also? It's a great little tweak towards all those crazies fans who seem to think that everyone else DOES care what's going on with them.

Thank you!! I really do enjoy writing drabbles. (Though I do feel guilty that I work on them instead of taking the time to finish my longer stuff.)

Thank you! But I don't think it was innocence as much as honest perpexity as to why anyone would want details of two long time friends finaaly deciding they wanted more. :-)

p.s. finding an author with a sizeable archive as talented as you writing about my favourite couple the weekend i'm supposed to be writing a major essay does not bode well for my GPA, but thanks and praise all the same.
