I actually got the idea for this fic when I first heard the spoilers for April. I didn't automatically thing "that's a HORRIBLE idea" mostly because there are ways to introduce a secret daughter storyline in a thoughtful, creative way that could be really fancinating. Having her try to find her biological dad as science fair project is not one of them. (And truthfully, her teacher should have recommended therapy when April came up with the idea!) The thing about Luke is that grumpiness aside, he has a very big heart as we daw with all his interaction with Rory and with Jesse during the last Luke-as-a-father-figure storyline.
