List 10 platonic male/female relationships in fiction that you enjoy.

Rules:
1. They interact in canon, preferably in a significant (apply your own interpretation of such) way.
2. They are not related. They can, however, view each other as surrogate family.
3. Neither has confessed or implied romantic love for the other in canon.
4. They have not dated, been married, had sex, or made out in canon, on purpose, and of their own free will.
5. A popular fanon ship is ok (though preferably not your ship) but a canon pairing you wish were just friends is out.
6. Try to avoid using the same character or series twice.

I really couldn't resist this one. It was an excellent exercise for me, since I'm such an utter "best friend" shipper. If a male & female character have close friendship in canon, chances are that I'll be shipping them sooner or later, canon or not. I liked proving to myself that I actually can enjoy a male/female friendship without wishing there was more. As it turned out, all ten pairing were from television shows, though 3 of them you've probably never heard of. While some of these pairing on the list are (or at least could be) active ships, I just like their relationship as is.

My Boys was SOOOOOOO good tonight. Kenny started a band and got Andy to play bass. Mike agrees to help Stephanie with her "He's Just Not Into You" seminar. And Brendan agreed to let PJ make all his decisions for a week.

You KNOW this isn't going to end well... )

I'm so glad that My Boys is back!!! I missed this show so much!

To give a quick rundown: While PJ/Bobby isn't my favorite ship, I have to admit that they are cute together and it looks like the show is just going to let them be a couple, instead of the whole on again/ off again thing. (Can I say hope much I HATE that?) I'm loving Brando's journey into the world of grownups. Stephanie is cracking me up and I'm just wating for the thing between her and Kenny to come out. Mike's mustache cracked me up. And Andy, of course, remains wonderfully Andy.

The best part of tonight's episode? The whole powering down thing at the very end. :-)  I love this show.

It's the (summer) season finale of My Boys.  Bobby is getting married, Jack is missing, PJ is trying to keep everything together... AND STEPHANIE AND KENNY TOTALLY DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So come on over and discuss what you thought/think/are thinking.  I've got ten bucks on this ending with a cliffhangers.  Any takers?  Yeah, didn't think so.  That's a sucker's bet if ever there was one.

I really had no intention of watching My Boys.  I haven’t really enjoyed a half hour sitcom since Sports Night.  And it was on TBS of all channels.  But some executive had the bright idea that a My Boys marathon would be excellent cross programming with the Super Bowl.  I got hooked and hooked fast!  I hope that this show someday comes out on DVD.  It will have a place of honor right next to my Sports Night DVDs!
