I could just copy every single thing you said and agree with it, but I'm trying not to. ;-)
My favorite moment was how when Dani made eye contact Charlie she let out this little sigh of relief, like she was holding on until he got there. As soon as he was, she could let go.
I think you and I are really of one mind about why we love their relationship. I love it for what it is, and for what the show does with it. They don't ignore that these two have a really strong connection and that there might be some aspect of attraction to it, but they're cool enough that they don't feel like they have to go there. I really like them where they are. And I like it when their need for each other verges on deep and angsty, but doesn't go to the obvious place.
Like the shower scene (which was conceived and shot so brilliantly). I mean it's hot! Dani's desperate, Charlie picks her up and puts her in the tub, the water, the way her hand reaches out toward his face because she can't see.
Then, in the sene when she's forced to get drunk, the way she clings to him and he's sort of loving her a little bit, for what she had to go through. Just beautiful.
Have I mentioned yet how much I love the scenes where Charlie and Dani interrogate a suspect? (“She’s shy.” “I am.”) Because I so DO! Charlie and Dani don’t really do the good cop/ bad cop thing. It’s more like the Crazy Cop and… I don’t even know.
I know! I've posted on this a lot, see recaps. :-) Both the gorgeous way they get into their rhythm and play off each other *resists sexual metaphor* and the roles that they play. I have a very specific thing about that, but I feel like I've said it a dozen times....

To everything else: yes, yes, yes and yes. :-)
