Thank you!! This fic meant a lot to me since two of my closest friends are adopted. (James and Mary were plays on my friends' names.)
I've written Josh and Donna having children biologically both before and since, but I'm actively trying to not repeat what's already been done before and better. I had wondered why nobody when they were writing future fic mentioned adoption. (Most people seem to assume even CJ and Danny's daughter is biological... though I'm not even sure that's possible!)
I too found the ease that Josh and Donna got pregnant in other fics a little too unrealistic. I've known too many people for whom that just wasn't the case. cantbesilent posted a really excellent piece shortly after mine about infertility problems. I think it's called "Damaged Goods."
