Believe it or not, this wasn't supposed to be one of my attempts at misdirecting my audience. (And I really got to stop doing that. People are going to start anticipating it!) I actually thought that the "No, no, it didn't really happen like that! Donna's imagination is just running away with her!" was a betrayal of the fic. And that was probably the reason I was so reluctant to even write it down. It probably isn't surprising that when I did, the first thing I wrote was the "cheesy" end. And I liked it so much, I didn't feel guilty ending the fic like that!
By the way, I'm sorry I've been so neglectful in commenting lately. And you've posted such intriguing stuff! I promise to be more responsible!
