I love this song. It's called "Better Days" by the Goo Goo Dolls of their Let Love In album. It's a Christmas song without mentioning Christmas. It a New Year's song. But mostly it's a prayer for the future. It was pretty popular when it came out, so you all should have heard it before. Sing with me!!
