In case you're new to these parts, I generally quote holiday songs this time of year.  After some debate, I decided to go with something traditional this time around...

Harry:  What does this song mean? My whole life, I don't know what this song means. I mean, 'Should old acquaintance be forgot'? Does that mean that we should forget old acquaintances, or does it mean if we happened to forget them, we should remember them, which is not possible because we already forgot?
Sally: Well, maybe it just means that we should remember that we forgot them or something. Anyway, it's about old friends.

You know, I've pretty much thought that Harry part every time I hear that song. I...honestly don't know what it means. It always sounds confusing to me.

But, whee, yay! Happy New Year! Have a lovely one!

Yeah, I think the opening lines are supposed to be a rhetorical question, but they certainly don't make it very clear, do they?

I know. It's a great scene, isn't it? I think I mostly picked Auld Lang Syne this year, just so I could use Harry's line.
