quaggySo, I saw this on christinekh LJ. And thought I would try it myself. These are the rules…
If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence (or more) from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favorite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else -- this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).

It was late and I wasn’t supposed to be there. They certainly had no idea that they had an audience. He was leaning against his desk, hands on her shoulders with his head bent to hers. She was trying so hard not to cry and failing miserably.

It was like her body knew the one thing in this world that could bring her peace was only a few yards away. And only her stubborn pride was keeping her from knocking on his door.

Everyone expected Josh to break. How could he function without Donna? Most figured that he would constantly be late, distracted, disorganized and going through replacement temps like water.
