Notes: I wanted to write something light for the time in between Election Day Part II and Requiem. So, I set this in a hospital. I’m not sure how that works. Since its basically AU, I wrote it so that you can place it wherever you want in the West Wing timeline…as long as its during the campaign trail or the first few years of the Santos Administration.

3/06/07 ETA: I've written a prequel for this fic, Left Waiting, told from Donna's perspective. The open timeline has been replaced. This is now an AU set right before the start of season 7.
